Where Does the Story Start

This interactive workshop helps writers understand where their story should start for the most impact. I will read pages from volunteers who submit their stories and we will discuss the beginning pages of their story. I offer suggestions and gentle critiques to help writers start their story where an editor and then a reader will want to keep reading and not put the book down. Catching an editor’s attention in the first few pages is critical to moving to the next phase of review. Catching a reader’s attention and keeping it is critical to the reader purchasing the book.
